The "Five-Prevention Functions" of high-voltage ring main units (HV RMUs) specifically refer to the following:
1 、Prevent opening or closing of isolating switches under load
Specifically: Isolating switches cannot be operated when circuit breakers, load switches, or contactors are in the closed state.
2 、Prevent incorrect opening or closing of circuit breakers, load switches, or contactors
Specifically: Operation of the target equipment can only be performed when the operation command matches the equipment to be operated.
3 、Prevent closing of circuit breakers or load switches when the earthing switch is closed
Specifically: Isolating switches can only be closed, or the withdrawable unit can only be moved to the working position, and circuit breakers or load switches can only be operated to close, when the earthing switch is in the open state.
4、Prevent incorrect closing of the earthing switch when the equipment is live
Specifically: Isolating switches can only be operated, or the withdrawable unit can only be moved from the working position to the test position, and the earthing switch can only be closed, when the circuit breaker is in the open state.
5、Prevent accidental entry into live compartments
Specifically: The door of a compartment can only be opened for entry when the compartment is de-energized.
